Each apartment has a furnished living room with flat screen satellite TV, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette with electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Onsite dining is available at the All Café Bistro. The Llobet has been popular with gay guests for many years. The gay nightlife in Ibiza Town is about a 15-minute walk away.

The excellent-value, no-frills Apartmentos El Puerto is a good choice for those who just want a place to sleep in Ibiza Town. The hotel offers en suite, air-conditioned guest rooms with kitchenettes and satellite TV's. Each apartment has a bedroom with twin beds and a sofa bed in a separate lounge area, enabling up to 4 people to share. Sheets and towels are changed every 4 days. There aren't many 4-star hotels in Ibiza Town centre. We've stayed at Royal Plaza and think it's one of the best in its class in town. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk to the gay bars on Calle de La Virgen. Each air-conditioned guest room has a satellite TV, a minibar, safe (large enough for a laptop) and free WiFi. You have access to a nice rooftop swimming pool and sun terrace. The hotel's 'Le Relais' restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, and the poolside snack bar offers light meals and drinks all day.

La Torre (The Tower) has a stunning hilltop location overlooking Ibiza Town and the sea. Guest rooms within this historic building are air-conditioned and feature comfortable beds, LCD TV's and minibar. Chef Pablo Diez offers excellent Mediterranean food, but there is a great choice of restaurants in the area. The swimming pool and garden have spectacular views and is one of the nicest places in Ibiza to sip a sunset cocktail. Be prepared for some uphill steps from gay bars in town or to pay for a taxi. Parking is available.

Value-for-money apartment hotel, located on Figueretas Beach and a 15-minute walk from the gay scene in Ibiza Town. Apartamentos Mar y Playa has an outside pool, sun terrace and a gym facility. WiFi is free in the lobby. Each of the apartments features a balcony and kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, stove, plus a selection of dishes and utensils. The lounge area has a sofa bed and satellite TV.

Ibiza Playa has a excellent location on Figueretas beach promenade and just a 15-minute walk from the gay nightlife in Ibiza Town. Guest rooms are simply furnished, air-conditioned and comfortable. Some rooms have private balconies with sea views. The hotel shares a number of facilities including an outdoor swimming pool with the next-door Mar y Playa.

One of the best luxury resorts in Ibiza, located in the Talamanca part of Ibiza Town, north of the port and just a 10-minute walk from the gay nightlife. Ibiza Gran has some of the most spacious, modern and well-equipped rooms you'll find in town. Most have great views of the harbour and D'Alta Vila. Facilities include a fabulous spa, outdoor pool and sun terrace, choice of restaurants and casino. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

A more affordable option in this excellent area. The beachfront Hotel Maritimo is just a short walk to the gay nightlife in Ibiza Town. Features include an indoor pool, gym and free WiFi. The rooms are traditionally styled, but they are comfortable and all have balconies with sea views, as well as air conditioning, satellite TV's, private bathrooms and mini-kitchens.

The new, chic, all-suite Ibiza Sun is located on a quiet side street, less than a 2-minute walk from the beach. The bus stop (no.14) to Ibiza Town is just 1-minute walk away - there is free parking nearby. Modern, stylish suites feature a separate bedroom, kitchenette, lounge, flat screen TV, fridge and free WiFi. The hotel serves a reasonable buffet breakfast as well as snacks & drinks by the pool.
