Localizada no norte do Texas, Amarillo é uma pequena cidade na área de Texas Panhandle. Cidades maiores, como Albuquerque e Dallas, ficam a 5 horas de carro. Amarillo é uma porta de entrada para o vasto Palo Duro Canyon State Park, repleto de trilhas. Também é conhecido por Cadillac Ranch, uma instalação de carros decorados com grafite, parcialmente enterrados em um campo, ao longo da famosa Rota 66. O bairro histórico é um ótimo lugar para restaurantes e lojas de antiguidades.
